AUTUMN SOUP | |
1 lb. ground beef 1/2 c. chopped onions 1 can (no. 2) tomatoes 2 c. hot water 1 c. chopped carrots 1 c. chopped celery 1 c. chopped potatoes 2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper 1 bouillon cube (dissolved in 1 c. hot water) 1 sm. bay leaf or 1/2 a lg. one Pinch of basil Brown 1 pound ground beef. Add chopped onions, drain, then add remainder of ingredients. Cook about 1 hour. Serves 6. Good warmed over and can be frozen. (A recipe handed down from grandma.) |
