SUN DILL PICKLES 
1 gallon glass jar or assorted jars
Bread
1/3 c. table salt
1/2 tbsp. alum
2 c. vinegar
Cucumber pickles
1 1/2 quarts water
Garlic cloves
Fresh dill
Sunshine

Mix salt, alum, vinegar, and water. Bring to a boil, then cool. Wash cucumber pickles.

To Pack Jars: Place 1 slice of bread on bottom. Pack pickles, dill, and garlic cloves in jar. Pour brine in, cover with slice of bread, cover loosely. Set in sun for 3 days. Refrigerate. Keep refrigerated. Cloudy days do not affect process!
