1 Duncan Hines chocolate cake mix
1 stick butter
1/2 c. milk
14 oz. Kraft caramels
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. pecan chips

Mix cake mix as directed on box. Pour 1/2 mixture into a 9 x 13 inch greased and floured pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Melt caramels with butter and milk. Pour this mixture over cake and sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over that. Pour remainder of cake mixture over this and bake 10 minutes at 250 degrees. Continue baking 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
