FIVE BEAN CASSEROLE | |
1/2 lb. bacon, cut in pieces 1 lb. ground beef 1/2 c. chopped onions 1/2 c. chopped celery 1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. ketchup 1/4 c. molasses 1 tbsp. prepared mustard 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 (16 oz.) can Bush's baked beans 1 (16 oz.) can pork & beans 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, drained 1 (16 oz.) can butter beans, drained 1 (16 oz.) can lima beans, drained Microwave Directions: Place bacon in 2 1/2 to 3 quart glass casserole. Cover with paper towel and microwave on high for 6 to 8 minutes or until cooked, stirring every 2 minutes during cooking. Remove from dish. Place on paper towel to drain. In same casserole, combine ground beef, onion, and celery. Microwave on high for 3 to 4 minutes or until meat looses its pink color, stirring halfway through cooking. Drain. Add bacon and remaining ingredients to ground beef mixture. Mix well and microwave on high for 10 to 13 minutes or until heated through, stirring 1 or 2 times during cooking. In fry pan, brown bacon; drain. Saute ground beef, onions, and celery (drain grease). Add all ingredients together in casserole dish; blend together and bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes with cover on dish. Remove cover and stir; bake for 15 minutes more. |
