APPLE PIE - FRENCH | |
6 c. apples (your favorite), peeled and sliced 1 tsp. cinnamon 2 tbsp. flour 1 unbaked pie crust 2/3 c. sugar 1 tbsp. water dash of love Preheat oven to 400°F, put pie crust into a pie pan and crimp the edges. Mix the apples, cinnamon, sugar, flour and water and pour into the pie pan. Make the topping below: Topping: 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. light brown sugar 1 c. flour Stir butter and brown sugar together until blended (use a fork). Add flour and mix with your hands until it is about the size of peas. Sprinkle on top of the apple mixture. Bake at 400°F for 40 to 45 minutes until brown and apples are done (should be bubbly). I use a foil lined cookie sheet in case pie bubbles over. Great warm with ice cream or cheese slice on top. |
