SPAGHETTI AND ITALIAN MEAT BALLS 
SAUCE:

In a crock pot, begin with a medium jar of Ragu or any purchased sauce. Add: 1 1/2 tsp. oregano 1 tsp. basil 1 med. can tomato paste 4 bay leaves Salt, pepper and garlic

Mix well and let cook for several hours, 3-4 hours. Add meat balls, cook, stirring gently occasionally for about 1/2 to 1 hour. Pour over cooked spaghetti.

MEAT BALLS:

Crumb 4 slices of bread. Soak in 1/2 cup water, 2-3 minutes. Add 2 eggs, mix well. Mix with 1 pound hamburger (1/2 pound hamburger and 1/2 sausage okay), 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, 2 tablespoons snipped parsley, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon oregano and dash of pepper.

With wet hands, form meat mixture into small balls (about 24). Brown slowly in 2 tablespoons hot oil. Add meat balls to sauce. Serves LOTS!
