FATTENING FUDGE 
2 c. sugar (granulated)
2/3 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tbsp. Karo syrup
1/3 c. real butter
1 tbsp. vanilla
2 squares unsweetened Baker's chocolate
Nuts & marshmallows (opt.)

In medium saucepan mix sugar, milk, Karo syrup, salt, cream of tartar, and chocolate and bring to medium boil, stirring constantly. After 4 or 5 minutes test by dropping a small amount of fudge into cold water if it makes a soft ball when pushed together it is done, then put pan in cold water. Add vanilla and butter. Stir until cooled, pour on plate.
