1 lb. 9 oz. Riches home-style frozen dinner rolls (24 rolls in bag) 1 box butterscotch pudding (not the instant kind) 1/4 lb. butter (1 stick) 1/2 c. brown sugar (light, not dark sugar) 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. vanilla raisins and nuts (enough to lightly cover the bottom of 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan) Grease sides and bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan generously with Crisco shortening. Sprinkle raisins and nuts over bottom of pan. Place frozen dinner rolls over raisins and nuts (four rolls across and six rows altogether). Sprinkle the butterscotch pudding over all the rolls. In a pan, melt butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla until it mixes together and comes to a boil. Then drizzle this mixture over pudding and rolls. Cover the pan with Saran Wrap tightly and cover with dish towels. Let rise overnight. Next morning, take towels and Saran Wrap off carefully. Bake the buns at 300°F for 30 to 35 minutes or until nice and brown. Take out of oven and put a cookie sheet or platter on top of pan and turn upside down carefully. Makes 24 buns. |
