DATE NUT ROLL 
3 c. brown sugar, lightly packed
1/2 pt. cream
1/4 lb. butter
1 pkg. chopped dates
1 lb. walnuts

Cook the first three ingredients to soft ball stage; remove from heat and add chopped dates; cook to soft ball stage again; remove from heat and add walnuts. Beat until creamy. Roll in log form in linen towel. Refrigerate until firm. Slice in thin pieces.
