CORNY DOGS 
2 pkgs. beef wieners (not jumbo)
2 c. yellow cornmeal
2 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. sugar
2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. vanilla
Oil for deep fryer

Makes 20 corny dogs. Blend all dry ingredients together. Add rest of ingredients to dry ingredients. Mix well. Pour into a deep bowl or fill a quart fruit jar with a large mouth. If batter is too thick, add a little more buttermilk. Batter will be thick. With a skewer put into end of wieners. Dip into batter, then into deep fryer that is hot. Cook until golden brown. Slide wiener off skewer into oil. Drain well.
