POUND CAKE 
3 sticks of butter
3 c. sugar
3 c. flour
5 eggs
1 c. milk
3 tsp. almond or vanilla or mixed
10 inch tube pan greased and floured

Cream butter and sugar. Beat well add 1 egg at a time and beat well after each. Add flour alternately with milk. Add flavoring. Mix well and pour into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake 1 hour 15 minutes at 325 degrees. Check doneness with toothpick in center. Bake a few minutes longer if needed.
