FOOLPROOF PASTRY 
5 c. flour
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 lb. lard (2 1/2 c. shortening)
3/4 c. cold water
1 egg
2 tsp. vinegar

Use large bowl. Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening until pea-size lumps. Combine water, egg and vinegar and mix thoroughly in small bowl. Stir this into flour mixture until dough holds together. This will keep in freezer about 2 months.
