DATE CRISPIE BAR 
1 (16 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
2 tbsp. shortening (oleo)
1 1/4 c. dates, chopped
1 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
1/2 c. nuts, chopped fine
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar

Melt chips and shortening. Beat until smooth. Mix all other ingredients together and pour into 8"x8" wax paper lined pan or spray pan with Pam and spread and chill.
