CORNMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. flour
3/4 c. cornmeal
Unsalted sunflower seeds

Mix together with a mixer - butter, sugar, and vanilla until fluffy. Add flour and cornmeal. Beat at low speed. Between lightly floured sheets of waxed paper, roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut out with heart shaped cutter. Press sunflower seeds onto edges. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees until firm and golden.
