STRAWBERRY SALAD OR DESSERT 
2 2/3 c. crushed pretzels or 1 can Planters broken to resemble nuts
3/4 c. butter
1 lg. pkg. Jello, strawberry
1 (10 oz.) fresh strawberries
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 c. & 3 tbsp. sugar
1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip

Mix Jello, 2 cups hot water and frozen strawberries. Chill until slightly set. To crush pretzels add mixture of 3 tablespoons sugar and 3/4 cup butter. Press into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees and cool.

Cream 1 cup sugar, cream cheese and add Cool Whip. Spread over pretzels. Then spread Jello mixture over and refrigerate.
