FRIED OKRA 
Fresh tender sm. pods of okra
Salt & pepper
1 stick butter
3/4 c. corn meal
1/2 c. self-rising flour
Vegetable oil

Wash and cut okra. Roll in a mixture of the flour and corn meal. Heat a skillet with about 1 cup of vegetable oil and butter. Fry okra on medium high heat until browned. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
