FAVORITE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. soft butter
3/4 c. Domino brownulated sugar
1 tsp. water
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 egg
1 c. (6 oz.) chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped walnuts, peanuts, or pecans

Sift together flour, soda, and salt. Combine shortening, sugar and extract; mix well. Beat in egg. Add flour mixture; beat until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop from teaspoon onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Yield: 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
