FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE | |
2 c. sugar 2 c. plain flour 2 eggs 1 (#10) can fruit cocktail, including liquid 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt Mix all ingredients with mixer until well blended. Bake in layers at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. FROSTING: 1 stick butter 1 c. sugar 1 (5 oz.) can canned milk 1 c. coconut 1/2 c. nuts, chopped Melt butter, add sugar and stir until blended. Add coconut and nuts, and milk. Stir on low heat until mixture thickens. Pour over cake while warm. |
