BARLEY BEEF CASSEROLE | |
3/4 c. barley 4 c. water 1/2 tsp. salt 1 lb. ground beef 1 onion, chopped 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 can tomato soup 1/8 tsp. pepper 2 tbsp. butter 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms 2 c. peas 2 c. chopped celery 1 sm. green pepper, chopped Boil barley in salted water until tender. Follow package directions. Drain. Brown onion and ground beef. Combine all ingredients except tomato soup and pour into a greased casserole. Pour tomato soup over the top (you may have to thin the soup a little with water or milk). Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees. |
