PRETZEL SALAD | |
1 1/2 c. chopped unsalted pretzels 1 stick butter, melted 3 tbsp. sugar Mix together. Bake in 13 x 9 inch pan at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool. 3/4 c. confectioners' sugar 2 c. Cool Whip Mix cream cheese and sugar. Fold in Cool Whip. Spread on pretzels. 2 c. hot water 1 1/2 c. cold water 2 c. fruit (sliced strawberries) Mix Jello and hot water. Add cold water. Add fruit. Let Jello start to thicken. Spread on cream cheese layer. Refrigerate until Jello sets. Different Jello and fruit combinations can be used. We like lima Jello and crushed pineapple; orange Jello and mandarin orange; and 3 ounce lemon Jello, 3 ounce orange Jello and sliced peaches. |
