PRETZEL SALAD | |
2 2/3 c. crushed pretzels, unsalted 1 1/2 sticks butter, melted 3 tbsp. sugar 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened 1 carton Cool Whip, save a little for on top 1 c. sugar 2 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jello 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries 3 c. boiling water Mix first 3 ingredients together in a bowl. Pat into a 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool. Mix cheese, Cool Whip and sugar together and spread on cooled pretzel crust. Dissolve Jello in hot water. Drop in frozen strawberries; mix well. When slightly thickened, pour over cream cheese layer. Put some Cool Whip on top and sprinkle some fine pretzel crumbs on top. Refrigerate. |
