BARBARA'S WESTERN DRESSING MIX | |
2 tbsp. salt 2 tsp. Accent 2 tsp. dehydrated parsley flakes 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. black pepper 1/2 tsp. onion powder Stir together salt, Accent, parsley flakes, pepper, onion and garlic powder. Store in airtight container. Stir each time before using. Makes enough for 4 pints dressing. WESTERN DRESSING: 3 1/8 tsp. mix 1 c. mayonnaise 1 c. buttermilk In medium size bowl stir together. Use a wire whip or spoon to mix. Store in airtight container. (Flavor is best when stored 24 hours before serving). Stir or shake well before serving. Makes about 1 pint. Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese if desired. Western Dressing is delicious served on hot baked potatoes. This mix is the same as the famous packets you buy at the supermarket, but is only a fraction of the cost. |
