1 1/4 c. butter
2 c. sugar
6 eggs, with yolks & whites separated
1 level tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour milk
3 c. flour
1/4 lb. chocolate or Hershey's cocoa
1 tbsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Beat and add yolks of eggs. Dissolve the soda in the milk and add to mixture. Add the vanilla and egg whites last. Cook in medium oven in 3 pans.

FILLING:

1 c. cream
1 c. milk
1 c. butter
5 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 lb. chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla

Boil cream, milk, butter, sugar and salt until it makes a soft ball in cold water. Add chocolate and vanilla. Beat until creamy.
