10 BEAN SOUP 
Large limas
Baby limas
Black eyed peas
Navy beans
Lentils
Green split peas
Barley
Pinto beans
Kidney beans
Black beans
Yellow split peas

Mix all dried beans together and use 1 pound mixed beans for each recipe.

Wash beans, place in large kettle. Cover with water 2 inches above bean line. Add 2 tablespoons salt; soak overnight. Drain in the morning.

Add 2 quarts water, 2 nice sized ham hocks or piece of ham; bring to boil. Add:

1 lg. onion, chopped
16 oz. can tomatoes
1 tbsp. chili powder
Juice of a lemon
Pepper to taste

Simmer 3 hours or in crock pot 3 hours high or 5 hours low. Remove ham from hock before serving. Enjoy!
