DOUBLE CHOCOLATE OATMEAL COOKIES | |
1 1/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1/3 c. cocoa 1 c. coconut (optional) 1/2 c. nuts, chopped (optional) 1 c. butter, softened 1 1/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 3 c. quick-cooking oats 1/4 c. water 1 egg 1/2 tsp. salt 6 oz. semisweet chips Mix together sugar, butter, egg, water and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by teaspoonfuls, about 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes until almost no indentation remains when touched. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Cool on racks. Makes 4 1/2 dozen. |
