DOUBLE CHOCOLATE REBEL COOKIES 
1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. cocoa
1 1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1/4 c. water
3 c. uncooked rolled oats
1 pkg. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Cream butter and vanilla. Add sugar and cream until fluffy. Add beaten egg.

Sift together the flour, soda, salt, and cocoa. Add to the creamed mixture. Add water. Mix thoroughly after each addition. Add the oats gradually, stirring well. Next add the chocolate pieces.

Drop by teaspoonfuls, about 2 inches apart, on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Yield: 10 to 11 dozen.
