CREAM GRAVY 
1 1/2 c. milk
3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
3 tbsp. chicken drippings

Fry chicken in 1/2 butter and 1/2 shortening. Make gravy in same skillet. In screw-top jar, shake half milk with flour, salt and seasoning until blended. Stir drippings into pan. Add remaining milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Cook 2 to 3 minutes longer. Yield: 1 1/2 cups gravy. Great over biscuits.
