APPLE CRISP | |
4 c. cooking apples, sliced 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1/3 c. sifted flour 1 c. Quaker or Mother's oats (uncooked) 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/3 c. melted butter Place apples in greased shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Combine dry ingredients; add melted butter, mixture will become crumbly. Sprinkle crumb mixture on top of apples. Bake in a moderate oven (375 degrees) for 30 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm or cold, top with whipped cream or ice cream. |
