WHITE CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sweet milk
2 1/2 c. cake flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. nuts, chopped quite fine
8 egg whites

Cream sugar and butter. Alternate the milk and dry ingredients. Add nuts and egg whites, beaten stiff. Makes a large loaf cake. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
