CHOCOLATE FUDGE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/3 c. water

Cream butter and/or butter, shortening and sugar in large bowl. Add eggs and vanilla; blend thoroughly. In separate bowl combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Add alternately with water to creamed mixture. Pour into 13 x 9 inch pan for 30 to 40 minutes in 350 degree oven.
