RICE DRESSING (HASHWA ROZ) | |
2 c. long grain rice 6 - 8 tbsp. clarified butter 1/2 c. pine nuts 1/2 - 3/4 lb. ground beef 4 c. boiling chicken clear broth 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. allspice Rinse rice thoroughly in warm water and drain. Add the 1/2 cup of pine nuts; stir until brown. Add the ground beef and saute until no longer pink. Add the rice and stir gently for about 2 minutes. Add the boiling chicken and broth and the seasonings. Cover and cook on low heat until broth is absorbed (about 20 minutes). |
