1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs

2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Roll into balls the size of a walnut.

2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until lightly browned or still soft, 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees.
