1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream shortening and sugar then add eggs, then add flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Mix 4 tablespoons sugar and 4 teaspoons cinnamon, roll into small balls in sugar and cinnamon then place on cookie sheet and bake 8 to 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
