SNICKERDOODLE COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Cream shortening and sugar together. Add eggs and beat well. Add dry ingredients and mix well. The dough will be stiff. Roll into balls. Roll balls in cinnamon and sugar mixture (approximately 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons cinnamon). Bake on cookie sheet at 375 degrees for approximately 10 minutes.
