SNICKERDOODLE COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix together shortening, sugar and eggs. Sift together and add flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Mix well. Roll in balls the size of walnuts. Roll ball around in the mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Place on cookie sheet and bake 8 to 10 minutes in a 375 degree oven until light brown.
