SALISBURY STEAK BAKE 
1 can Campbell's golden mushroom soup
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
Generous dash pepper

Mix thoroughly 1/4 cup of soup with remaining ingredients. Shape into 6 patties; place in shallow baking dish (13x9x2-inches). Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Spoon off fat. Mix rest of soup, 1/3 cup water; pour over meat. Bake 10 minutes more. Yield: 6 servings.

I have been making this recipe for years. My family loves it! I double the recipe so that we have leftovers the following night. I asked my family tonight if they would like me to kick it up a notch with added seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, garlic etc...like I do my meatloaf and they begged me to leave it alone. We love the simplicity of it. A true comfort food. The golden mushroom soup adds the perfect touch. I always have it in my cupboard for this dish. Just whip up some mashed potatoes and a side veggie and you're loved! A simple, hearty, delicious crowd pleaser! :)
