SWISS STEAK 
1 1/2 lbs. round steak (3/4 inch thick)
2 tbsp. shortening
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed golden mushroom soup
1/2 c. chopped, canned tomatoes
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. water
Dash of pepper

Pound steak; cut into serving size pieces in skillet. Brown steak in shortening; pour off fat. Add remaining ingredients. Cover; cook over low heat for 1 hour 30 minutes or until tender. Stir occasionally. Serves 4 to 6.
