MRS. CLAUS' CASSEROLE | |
6 slices bacon 4 potatoes, thinly sliced 1 bunch broccoli, trimmed & chopped 3 carrots, sliced 1/2 c. celery, sliced 1 med. onion, chopped 1 lb. smoked sausage Salt & pepper In heavy skillet, fry bacon until crisp. Remove bacon. To bacon drippings, add sliced potatoes, broccoli, carrots, celery and onion. Fry over medium heat. Salt and pepper to taste. When vegetables are tender, place smoked sausage on top. Cover and heat until smoked sausage is thoroughly cooked. Top with bacon, crumbled. |
