Always looking for good venison recipes. Had left over mashed potatoes so this was quick and easy. I used a medium onion instead of instant. I would make again..

Very good base recipe for venison! I have been substituting a head of organic cauliflower and mashing that instead of potatoes (lower carb)- very tasty. And also I mix in 1 cup of ground ham with the venison, and use Bob's Redmill TVP instead of breadcrumbs for the filler(gluten free, lower carbs) 1/2 cup clubhouse wild whiskey smoked bbq sauce for extra zing. Note: add extra TVP IF The mix seems too moist
