SALISBURY STEAK
3 tbsp. butter
2 to 3 med. onions, thinly sliced
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
2 beef bouillon cubes
1 tsp. bottled sauce (gravy)
1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
1 tsp. seasoned salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. fresh bread crumbs
Water

About 40 minutes before serving: In a 10 inch skillet over medium heat in hot butter, cook onions until tender, stirring frequently. Stir in cornstarch, salt, bouillon, bottled sauce for gravy, and 1 1/2 cups water; cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 10 minutes. Keep onion mixture warm.

Meanwhile: in medium bowl, combine beef, bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Mix well and shape into 6 patties. Broil patties until desired doneness, turning once. Place patties on platter and cover with onion mixture.
