TURTLE CAKE 
1 box German chocolate cake mix and ingredients as indicated on box
1 bag Kraft caramels
1 sm. can evaporated milk
1/2 stick butter
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. miniature chocolate chips
Cool Whip

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Put half of cake mix batter into 9 x 13 pan. Bake 15 minutes.

Melt until smooth: caramels, evaporated milk and butter. Spread half of sauce on cake. Sprinkle on pecans and chocolate chips. Top with remaining cake batter. Bake for 20 minutes.

Let cool. Top with Cool Whip and drizzle with remaining sauce.
