Mix 1 box German cake mix according to directions on box. Pour half into a greased and floured 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

Melt: 3/4 c. butter 1/2 c. evaporated milk

Or instead use 1/2 container of Kraft Caramel Sauce only!

Pour over partly baked cake. Sprinkle on 2 cups pecans and 1 cup chocolate chips. Top with remaining batter. Return to oven and bake 30 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 box instant butter pecan pudding
1 c. milk
1/4 c. powdered sugar
1 (12 oz.) container Cool Whip

Blend pudding, milk and powdered sugar until thick. Fold in Cool Whip.
