1 chocolate cake mix
1 c. chocolate chips
1 bottle caramel syrup
1 c. chopped pecans
1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
Hershey bar or chocolate sprinkles

Preheat oven per package instructions. Make cake mix according to package directions. In greased 10 x 13 inch pan, bake 1/2 cake batter for 15 minutes; remove from oven, pour caramel sauce, chocolate chips and pecans. Then remaining batter over pan. Bake another 15-20 minutes or until done. Cool, top with thawed Cool Whip and shaved chocolate or sprinkles.
