ALL-STAR APPLE PIE | |
1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 9 in pastry shell (baked) 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed 2 tbsp. cold buter or butter 1/4 c. pecans or walnuts, chopped 1/4 c. quick-cooking oats 2 tbsp. flaked coconut Combine pie filling, lemon jucie and cinnamon in a bowl. Mix well and spoon into pastry shell. In another bowl, combine flour and brown sugar; cut in butter until minture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in nuts, oats and coconut; sprinkle over pie filling. Bake at 400°F for 12-15 min. or until topping is golden brown. Cover edge of pastry with foil to keep from over browning if necessary. Cool on a wire rack before cutting. |
