1 box devil's food cake mix Mix cake mix by directions, using evaporated milk instead of water. Makes 3 (9 inch) layers. Bake at 350 degrees. FROSTING: 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. evaporated milk 3 egg yolks 1 stick butter 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. coconut 1 c. chopped pecans Melt butter. Add sugar, milk and beaten egg yolks. Cook until thickened. Add vanilla, coconut and pecans. |
