BROWNIES FOR A CROWD 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. (16 oz.) chocolate syrup
1 c. plus 1 tbsp. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

1. Beat butter with sugar until light and fluffy.

2. Beat in eggs, 2 at a time and vanilla; mix well.

3. Stir in chocolate syrup.

4. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Stir into chocolate mixture and add nuts.

5. Pour into greased 15 x 10 inch jelly roll pan and spread evenly.

6. Bake at 350 degrees for 22-25 minutes or until slight imprint remains when touched lightly with finger.

7. Cool on rack before adding topping.

TOPPING:

6 tbsp. butter
6 tbsp. milk
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine butter, milk and sugar in saucepan. Stir to mix. Bring to a boil and boil for 30 seconds. Add chocolate pieces. Stir until mixture thickens and cools. Stir in vanilla. Spread over cooled brownies, cut in bars.
