SAUSAGE AND CHEESE ON RYE | |
2 lb. pork sausage (bulk) 4 BIG links hot sausage 2 lb. Velveeta cheese 1/2 pkg. dry onion soup mix 1 tbsp. barbecue sauce or catsup 3 loaves Pepperidge party rye Fry out sausage fat in Teflon pan. Crumble sausage. Drain well. Remove sausage from pan but don't wash pan. Now melt 2 lb. (cubed) Velveeta. Return crumbled sausage to melted cheese. Add 1/2 package dry onion soup mix, barbecue sauce or catsup. Mix well. Spread on 3 loaves of party rye. If desired, freeze putting wax paper between layers. Bake in 350 degree oven on Teflon cookie sheet 10 to 15 minutes. |
