1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tbsp. butter, melted
1 egg, well beaten

Put flour, granulated sugar, baking powder and salt into mixing bowl, cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Mix eggs and milk, and add all at once to flour mixture. Stir just until moistened. Combine brown sugar, 1 tablespoon flour, cinnamon and melted butter. Place half of batter in greased muffin pans (or paper lined). Sprinkle topping mixture over, then top with remaining batter filling pans 1/2 full. Bake at 350 degrees about 20 minutes. Makes 12.
