PEANUT BUTTER PIE 
1 baked pie shell
1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/4 c. cornstarch
2/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. scalded milk
3 egg yolks, beaten
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. vanilla

Combine powdered sugar and peanut butter. Blend until appearance of biscuit mix. Spread half of mixture on pie shell. Combine cornstarch, sugar and salt. Add scalded milk and mix well. Pour small amount over beaten egg yolks. Return to double boiler and cook until thick. Add butter and vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell and top with meringue. Sprinkle remainder of peanut butter mixture on top. Bake until meringue is brown at 325 degrees.

MERINGUE: 3 egg whites and 6 tablespoons sugar.
