TERIYAKI RIBS | |
2 lbs. pork ribs (sawed in half) Salt and pepper to taste 1 raw onion 1 c. good soy sauce 1/4 c. sherry 1 or 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tbsp. brown sugar Parboil the pork ribs in water, salt and pepper, and onion, until the meat shrinks from the edge of the ribs. Marinate in a baking pan for 3-4 hours, or for a stronger flavor marinate in refrigerator for 1 or 2 days, turning a few times. Combine the soy sauce, sherry, garlic, sugar and some ground ginger and fresh black pepper if you like marinade spicy. Bake in the marinade in a 350 degree oven for 15-20 minutes or until crisp. Turn the ribs once or twice while cooking. Separate into bite-size pieces and serve warm. |
